Special Session is Here - Stack of Anti-gun Bills Filed
On the day before today's start of Governor Northam's gun control special session a large number of bills dropped on the Legislative information system. The GOP lived up to their promise to focus on criminals who use firearms in the commission of a crime as several bills were introduced to increase mandatory sentences. And, unfortunately, another Republican, Senate Majority Leader Tommy Norment introduced anti-gun legislation (two bills). The list of bills and VSSA's position on the bills are below:
