Despite criticism from gun-rights advocates and GOP legislative leaders, Governor McAuliffe is not retreating on a package of gun-control measures that he has proposed for the upcoming General Assembly session. McAuliffe says this was one of his campaign promises, so no one should be surprised. What is surprising is that McAuliffe has chosen to use his limited political capital on this issue at the same time he plans to take another bite of the apple trying to convince the General Assembly to expand Medicaid as part of Obamacare. His plate is going to be very full this session, and he is not likely to get either.
I'll be talking about this with Cam Edwards of Sportsman Channel's NRANews Cam and Company at approximately 6:30 tonight.
Update: video of the Sportsmen Channel interview is below.

Of course McAuliffe won't back down. His deep pocket$ $ugar Daddie$ of the extreme left (George $oro$, Tom $teyer, Michael Bloomberg, et al) who contributed heavily to his campaign are pressing for "payback" on their investment. They OWN him, bought and paid for, KAA-CHIINNGGG! They are the puppetmasters and he is their puppet, who has no choice but to dance when they pull his strings. Hopefully, our Republican controlled General Assembly will shut him down totally, and for the entire 3 years left in his term.
