MAIG Targeting Armslist.com Again

Apparently timed to coincide with the one year point since the Newtown school shooting,Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG) is once again complaining that guns are being illegally sold online.  Just two years ago, MAIG also claimed that Armslist.com was responsible for a large number of illegal gun sales over the Internet.
ArmsList.com is an online classified listing for gun owners.  From the web site "About Us" page:

ARMSLIST is a free local classified site for listing hand guns, pistols, rifles, shotguns, ammunition, archery, and hunting equipment. We created this site to allow people to find buyers and sellers in their local community and not have to pay fees to list their stuff. We wanted the site to be simple, easy to use, and non-intrusive, but specifically for buying, selling, and trading guns!

ARMSLIST became active in January of 2009.

ARMSLIST was created by a number of gun owning and gun loving Americans after seeing firsthand how the popular marketplace sites on the Internet shun firearms. We appreciate all the help and support that everyone has given us and hope for continued success of the site!
It also notes that sellers using the site should:
Always comply with local, state, federal, and international law. ARMSLIST does not become involved in transactions between parties. Review our privacy policy and terms of use for more information. Report Illegal Firearms Activity to 1-800-ATF-GUNS.
It's the same as if we put an ad in a newspaper (assuming your local paper still accepts firearm ads) and someone contacted you.   This just allows more people to see your ad.  Armslist is not doing anything illegal.
