- Moisture condenses on metal when taken between extreme temperatures. The day before the season starts take your muzzleloader outside mid to late afternoon and leave in your vehicle overnight. This will allow for the warm to cool temperature change and will allow you to load your muzzleloader with a dry barrel on the morning of opening day.
- Use a finger cot over your muzzle to prevent rain or mist from fog from entering into the barrel and fouling your powder
- You may use an Ear Band-It® for protecting your primer/cap area from moisture. You will need to fold and snug the Ear Band-It® over the area for proper fit and then install a snap. It makes a quick and easy protection during light to moderate rain fall.
For those who will be hitting the woods in search of that big buck next Saturday, Good Luck!
