Eleven students from across the Commonwealth of Virginia traveled to Richmond from July 12-14 to attend the Virginia State Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.) program. VSSA helped facilitate this great event thanks to a grant from the NRA Foundation.
Besides touring the State Capitol and learning about the legislative process in Virginia, they also visited the Colonial Shooting Academy, “the nation’s largest indoor shooting facility,” where they learned about firearm safety and marksmanship and squeezed in some rifle practice at one of their ranges.
