Shame Obama Doesn't Apply This to His Support of Gun Control

CQ Roll Call Daily Briefing had this today:

But anytime we’re spending more money on something that people don’t actually use, that’s an example of something we should probably change,” Obama said when asked in a Google video town meeting arranged by the White House yesterday whether he would consider abandoning the penny — which costs more to fabricate than its one-cent value. But he also said his administration would not push hard to end production of the copper coin, because: “One of the things that you see chronically in government is it’s very hard to get rid of things that don’t work so that we can then invest in the things that do.”

It's a shame the President does not apply the same logic to his support for gun control.
