This Is What Happens When You Rush Legislation

Appears that in their hastes to be the first legislative body to all but completely strip the Second Amendment rights from their citizens, it appears the New York legislature and governor forgot to exempt police from those banned from carrying standard capacity magazines. So reports ABC Eyewitness News 7.  But don't worry, they're going to fix it for those serving and for retired police.

A spokesman for the governor's office called Eyewitness News to say, "We are still working out some details of the law and the exemption will be included, currently no police officer is in violation."

VSSA believes that police should have all the tools they need to do their jobs and keep them safe.  But you and I should have the same ability to protect our homes and families.
