Range Protection Bill Introduced
Delegate Rick Morris has introduced House Bill 1114, a bill to restrict localities from enacting onerous ordinances related to the opening or operation of shooting ranges, such as those we have documented being tried by Sussex County over the years.. The bill has been referred to the committee on Counties, Cities, and Towns, on which Delegate Morris sits. If the bill passes the House, it will face touch going in the State Senate where it will likely be referred to the Committee on Local Government. That is the only senate committee that has a Democratic majority, with a Republican chairman.
