Senate Prohibits Funds for Future Fast and Furious Type Operations

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday, unanimously approved an amendment to the "minibus" appropriations legislation that would fund, among other agencies, the Department of Justice, that prohibits funds from being used by the Department to conduct "gun-walking" schems similar to the fatal "Fast and Furious" scheme that is now facing congressional scrutiny.  The amendment was supported by the NRA and offered by U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Tex.).
