The City of Suffolk has an item on its September 2nd agenda related to banning the discharge of a rifle in parts of the city. For those not familiar with Suffolk, it bills itself as "The Largest City in Virginia." It includes large rural areas however so we are not talking about discharging a rifle in a city like Richmond, Newport News, or Norfolk. You have the downtown area which most people would consider a "City" than there are large areas outlying the downtown area which are rural.
No other details are known at this time. If you live in Suffolk, please attend the City Council Meeting on Wednesday night. You can find the agenda here. The meeting starts at 7 PM. The City Council room is located on the 2nd floor of the Municipal Building at 441 Market Street.
