The Virginia Youth Trapshooting League hosts an 8-week high school trap shooting competition for Virginia youth up to 22 years of age. Their format provides shooters throughout Virginia with the opportunity to compete at their local clubs and have their scores compared with peers throughout the state. VYTL has completed its third season, and Jordan Stevens of the King George 4-H Shotgun Club placed 2nd in the Sub-Junior class, shooters under age 15.Besides being supported by NVGC, the team also receives support from the Friends of NRA, VSSA, Big Dog Outfitter Guns and Ammo Shop.
Jordan was accompanied by Kendall Rhodes and Paul Sevier, also of the King George 4-H Shotgun Club, to the Virginia Trap Shooting Association competition at Winchester Shotgun Club, where Kendall was Ladies Champion and Jordan was Sub-Junior Champion, winning a leather shotgun shell pouch for his efforts. These accomplished youth enjoy shooting at the Northern Virginia Gun Club, which supports them with facility use and coaching.
Congratulations on a job well done.
