Will Illinois Join 48 Other CCW States
Not Virginia related but Illinois is close to a vote to allow concealed carry. The Illinois Sheriff's Association supports the bill. Here's hoping they are successful.

I grew up in the corn fields of Illinois, and guns were never really an issue there like they were in Chicago and other cities. I had a Firearm Owners Identification Card (FOID) from the age of 14 until I went into the Navy at 18.
Now, I live in Virginia and have been here since 2000. I recently purchased my first handgun and applied for my CHP. I have been digging around the internet for as much information as I can find about Virginia CHP and Open Carry requirements. To this end, I created a new forum called the Virginia Firearm Owners Forum, which seeks to cover all the bases related to gun ownership in Virginia.
I hope that Illinois will join the ranks of the Free States who respect the 2nd Amendment rights of their citizens.
